We complete the CEC Compass Careers Benchmark Tool audit three times per year; we have managed to obtain and sustain 100% in all 8 benchmarks. You can see that we have managed to complete compass audits at regular points to ensure we sustain our dedication to CEIAG as a school up until now March 2020 and have found these really useful to ascertain where we are as a school in relation to the Gatsby benchmarks.
We introduced student pledges’ passports for years 7-11; all trips in June 2018, where visits and CEIAG are included as part of the 10 pledges’ experience. In the June we compiled an excel spreadsheet analysis of years 7-11 and all the trips and visits to ensure that all PP students, students with SEND were availed of the same opportunities. From this analysis 2017-18, 86% year 10 PP students took part in work related learning/CEIAG, of these 14% 6% of these 14% are no longer on roll; 92% of year 10 SEND students took part in work related learning/CEIAG. From this analysis 2017-18, 83% year 9 and 10 SEND students took part in a visit or residential trip; 70% of year 9 and 10 PP students took part in a trip or visit; of these 30% who did not participate 8% are no longer on role. This was a really useful tool to analyse which students had participated in which activities, but it was a little unwieldy with the amount of information which was included within the spreadsheet. We also realised that we needed a simpler format that the students could access to be able to see their own individual analysis.
